Hi to all! its 3am, n i haf decided to take a break from my mugging =) and also taking joshua's advise, i shall start the ball rolling and give a short sharing.."There was a man (lets call him john), who was caught in a flood. John could not swim, but is a believer who is very strong in the faith. So as the water level rises to his knees, he said to himself, "I know my God would save me!" and so he waited. After a while, a boat came along. The boatman saw this man's plight, and offered to pull him out. John replied, "Go away, i dont need your help, my God would save me!". And so the boat left. By now the water had already risen to his chest, and still John waited. Presently came another boat, and the boatman, like the first one, offered to save him. And again, John refused. The water was now nearly covering his head n he realised he was having trouble staying afloat, when came yet another boat, but John was so sure God would save him that he still refused help from the boatman. Of course, in the end he drowned and died. In heaven, poor John felt pretty miserable at how things turned out, and he asked God, "Dear Father, why did you not help me out in my time of need? i trusted you!". God replied, "Dear Son, I sent you three boats.""If you have your bible with you, please turn to Matthew 25:14-30 ( It is the parable of the talents). As you read the it, you would realise that the master did not tell them to go and make more money out of what he gave them, but yet it was what he expected, and the servants knew it too (v26 ... you knew that i harvest where i have not sown and gather where i have not scattered seed?) Although He did not specify what to do with our lives, God expects us to make the best out of it for His sake. So, from the previous story, we can see that God does create opportunities, and it is up to us to see it. Therefore, whether you are the boatman or the drowning fellow, do not be so blind as to miss out the opportunity to stretch out a helping hand and further God's glory, or be quick to grasp a helping hand and be saved =) ok thats the end of my sharing, and im back to studying meiosis... do keep the A and O level pple in prayer! note to josh n mich, don jus spam the tagboard, put up posts for other people to read, cus tag texts are pretty temporary =P take care all
